About the Salt Cats & NYCBL
The Syracuse Salt Cats are a collegiate summer baseball team playing in the prestigious New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL). After two seasons in the Eastern Collegiate Baseball League, the Salt Cats joined the NYCBL in 2010. Since then, they've featured players from colleges and universities across the United States and Canada.
The NYCBL, founded nearly 47 years ago, is one of the most historic collegiate summer baseball leagues in the country. As a proud member of the National Alliance of Collegiate Summer Baseball, the league is governed by NCAA rules and partially funded by Major League Baseball.
